What is a five axis linkage machine tool

The impeller and integral disc of an aircraft engine are a pile of twisted three-dimensional surfaces that ordinary three-axis machine tools cannot reach or form at the correct angle. The five axis linkage machine tool adds two rotation axes in addition to the three linear axes, allowing the tool to follow the curved surface in any posture.
