Machine tools are affected by internal and external heat sources, which not only cause changes in the geometric accuracy, motion accuracy, and position accuracy of the machine tool, resulting in unstable machining accuracy, but also cause excessive temperature rise, leading to deterioration of lubricating oil and grease, causing fatigue and wear of related components, and disrupting the normal operation of the machine tool. The temperature rise and thermal deformation tests include:

a) High speed temperature rise test of spindle: The spindle of the machine tool runs at the highest speed, and the temperature and room temperature of the spindle bearings are measured at regular intervals. After a certain period of operation, when the temperature rise of the bearing does not exceed 5 ° C per hour, it can be considered that a stable temperature has been reached. The maximum temperature and temperature rise of bearings should comply with the relevant machine tool product standards.

b) Temperature rise test of hydraulic oil tank: After the hydraulic system runs continuously at rated working pressure until the oil reaches thermal equilibrium, the temperature and temperature rise of the oil are checked. The maximum temperature and temperature rise of the oil should comply with the relevant machine tool product standards.

c) Spindle thermal displacement test: According to the "GB/T17421.3-2009 General Rules for Machine Tool Inspection Part 3: Determination of Thermal Effects", the spindle is operated at a certain proportion or constant speed, and the ambient temperature, spindle bearing temperature, and thermal displacement of the spindle in the circumferential and axial directions are measured simultaneously; The minimum duration of this experiment is 4 hours. Multiple tests have shown that after different types of machine tool bearings reach a stable temperature, the spindle will continue to experience thermal displacement in both radial and axial directions.

d) Linear feed axis thermal displacement test: This test is only applicable to CNC machine tools and is conducted in accordance with the "GB/T17421.3-2009 General Rules for Machine Tool Inspection Part 3: Determination of Thermal Effects". The feed component runs back and forth at a certain rapid movement ratio, while measuring the ambient temperature, temperature of screw bearings, and thermal displacement of the feed axis; The minimum duration of this experiment is 4 hours.
