Maintenance of AC servo motors for SMTCL CNC machine tools

The biggest advantage of AC servo motors compared to DC servo motors is the absence of brush maintenance issues. AC servo motors used for feed drive often adopt AC permanent magnet synchronous motors, which are characterized by the magnetic pole being the rotor and the armature winding of the stator being the same as the three-phase AC armature winding. However, they are powered by a three-phase inverter, and the signal generated by the rotor position detection is used to control the switching devices of the stator winding to conduct in an orderly and alternating manner, achieving commutation effect and continuously rotating the rotor. The rotor position detector is installed coaxially with the rotor and is used for rotor position detection. The detection device is generally a Hall switch or a photoelectric pulse encoder with phase detection.
